Who we are

Grindline Skate Shop runs this website. For anything about your personal data, email shop@grindline.example.

What we collect and why

• If you send us a message through this site: your name, email address and what you write, so we can reply.
• Orders are placed in our Shopify checkout; Shopify's privacy policy covers the details you give there.
• Your account, if you create one: your email address, and the name, phone number and addresses you choose to save, with your order and booking history. You sign in with a code we email you or a passkey; we keep no passwords, and for passkeys only the public key.
• Bookings: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, any note and the time you booked, to provide the appointment and send you confirmations.
• Chat messages you send us, to answer them.
• Visit counts: when a page opens, our own website server adds one to that day's totals for the page, the website you came from (its name only, not the full address), the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), your browser's language and your country (worked out from your connection; the address itself is never stored). We use no cookies for this and keep nothing that could identify you, so a visit cannot be traced back to you. Browsers that ask not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control) are not counted.

Services that help us

We use these providers, who handle your data only to do this work for us:

• Shopify: our shop and checkout
• Resend: sending emails
• WhatsApp: messages you send us there
• Our website host: serving the site securely

Cookies and storage in your browser

• Needed for the site to work (no consent needed): your bag, your sign-in session and your cookie choice.
• Counting visits uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

How long we keep it

• Messages: as long as needed to answer them and follow up.
• Your account: until you delete it (you can, from your account page); orders stay in our records without the link to you.
• Bookings: as long as needed to provide them and keep our records.
• Visit counts: daily totals only, kept for about 13 months.
• Sign-in codes expire after 15 minutes.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it or to send you a copy: email shop@grindline.example. With an account you can download your data and delete your account yourself, on your account page.

Children

This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we update this page and its date.
